What’s your favourite TED talk? I’m a big fan of TED talks because they often raise the bar when it comes how they talk is delivered. Most often it is an absolute pleasure to watch. Often, the content is cool too.
My favourite TED talk is currently by Shane Koyczan. He was the one who awakened my interest in poetry (okay, I’m not writing anything myself, but props to poets!).
I love how he commands English – I’ve never really heard anything like it.
My second favourite talk and speaker is Sarah Kay, giving “If I should have a daughter”:
My takeaway in this video is her outstanding use of body language. Notice how she keeps her poses while talking and then transitions into the next pose that supports her message? Basically, what good speakers do with words, i.e. make nice transitions, she does with her body as well.. Just impressive.
